GM Chevy Volt Rebate: "General Motors Company (NYSE: GM) and its Chevy Volt have been feeling the heat from the rest of the electric car market lately and almost three years after its debut, sales of the Volt are in peril.
Now, with danger looming and with other manufacturers offering greater incentives, GM was forced to act fast.
So, what’s the solution? A rebate will now be given to all Volt buyers of both its 2012 and 2013 models. The 2012 model will offer a $5,000 price cut and $4,000 will be granted to buyers of its 2013 model. That is in addition to a federal tax credit of $7,500 and for those who live in California there is a $1,500 state tax credit. . . ."
